This website is primarily built to put me into some sort of order. I’m a big fan of catalogs, lists, categories, and just organizing in general, and this is an extension of that.
Who are you?
- a woman
- a Christian
- a millennial
- an introvert
- a writer
- a Gryffindor
- now exhausted (by carrying the weight of all the expectations and prejudices attached to those labels)
Now that those are out of the way,
What do you do?
Professionally, I’m a writer / copywriter / content writer.
Outside work, I try to cultivate hobbies that can give me a better sense of the randomness of this world.
I also write on this blog whenever I get bouts of random inspiration. I do not earn money from this, but at the moment, I enjoy it very much.
Where are you from?
I’m from that adorable island in Southeast Asia.
What is your dream?
To be a writer.
Also, to be funny and smart enough to qualify as a standup comedian.
What inspires you?
Hmm very loaded question. To start, I’m inspired by the resilience and the capacity of humans (or animals/plants) to survive and grow.
I’m also inspired by the idea that humans can do stuff that don’t necessarily have anything to do with survival. Like art. And charity. And humor. Although that last one is debatable.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Standup comedians. Or anyone who or anything that can make me laugh.
What is this website all about?
Well, my name is in the url so it’s sort of about me. I consider this site my (virtual) home so here you’ll find (virtual) things that make me feel at home.
What is your writing process?
None. But most of the times, it starts when I hear a word which I find beautiful and acerbic and I want to use it. So I write something around that word.
Why are you a Christian?
I was initially raised to be one! And then I grew to love Jesus.
Why are you a vegan?
I love animals and I care about the environment. And I found out that the best way to live my life (while simultaneously standing up for what I value) is to be a vegan.
Read how I became a vegan here!
What is your claim to fame?
I’m just gonna be real honest and claim that in my decades of being alive, I’m surprisingly not bad at these five things:
- holding yoga poses
- coloring adult coloring books using colorful markers
- journaling thoughts and ideas no one will ever read
- discovering new ways to cook vegan food
- playing checkers
Are you happy?
Certainly not all day, every day. But I would say that generally, I am happy.
Can you write for me?
I’m flattered you asked, and I’d love to talk more deets! Please say hi here!
Do you have a portfolio?
Yes! My portfolio is here.
